DAMASCUS, Apr 16 (PRIME) -- Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said at a meeting with representatives of Russian parliament that Damascus is waiting for Russian companies to restore the country, Dmitry Sablin, chairman of the patriotism committee of the United Russia party, told reporters on April 15.
“We are waiting for Russian companies to restore Syria, they will have all the preferences,” Sablin said, quoting al-Assad.
The official added that Syria does not expect cooperation with Western oil and gas companies.
